Overall it sounded decent. I think you could definatly gain from adding some synths in the back to keep the atmosphere. Also, I didn't care much for the growl. Didn't really fit with the track, just really seems like it was overlaid in your track. Which program do you work in?

VoidArgument responds:

I use Ableton Live Intro, but I have absolutely no idea how to use it, so I'm really just going off of trial and error. I'll admit this track is poo, but it's a good example of what I can improve on. Thanks for the feedback :)

The lyrics were funny but i see this is more as a novelty

overall good though.

Go get ur mixtape...Never Fall Away you would like http://senatorjohndean.bandcamp.com

Well, i was looking forward to an objective song. Like at first hearing on the defense and then the second half switching to offensive with a heaver fast paced melody.

Don't get me wrong, I liked it but the call of duty sounds kinda seemed out of place in this.

DJHersher responds:

all Call of Duty sounds were synced using a beat-matcher, so theyre quite in time. (there is actually no way they could be missplaced, could be your speakers, or maybe your connection lagging.

thanks for the review. u seem more on the offensive but ill take it as feedback.

I liked it, my only suggestion is to the drop. I was waiting for a heavy drop to match your style of this song and was a little let down. Other than that I like the molody, the drums were decent, overall good but could improve a little.

DJDela responds:

Sorry to disappoint man, I thought it worked this way.
Thanks for the review anyway.

I like it. I have to agree that it fits alot in a small amount of time and sounds great.

I am making a game, and I would like to use it as part of the soundtrack. If your willing, I will send you a nessage with more details on the game. (PS this is not a flash or web game. I am working on a soundtrack for a what we hope to become an official console game.)

NemesisTheory responds:

Thank you!

Well, you're free to use it if you want, but since it's a copyrighted source (Final Fantasy VII), I dont think it will fly in a commercial product on consoles. So that's up to you really, but you have my blessing haha! <3

Sounds good!

I personally was waiting for more of a melody to kick in, so I was a little disappointed when it didn't. Maybe try adding a different instrument for the lead and use the current for an intro. Just a suggestion.

OssumPawesome responds:

thanks for the input! not a bad idea

I don't usually write a review, but,,,

9/10 !

This is the type I try to make. I am going to go through your work and study it. I'd love to make something like this. It takes into mind the same ideas and appeals I like such as a not too drawn out intro (just listened to two songs in a row that had a minute + intro), also the catchy lead is sick. The reverbs are what make this song [spacey?]. Love the intro transition. Was one of the best ive heard in a very very long time. The high pitch sounds was an awesome draw.

I will be back in your reviews. DLd and 5/5

Awesome!

It's awesome. 9/10 5/5

Now for my sugesstions
1) Add a few more melodies. It did get a little repetitive. Maybe like one or two would suffice but you ran one maybe two different loops through the entire song on the piano.

2) Some parts sound... plain? Most of the song has a fair amount of stuf going on but at some points you have just perc or even just kicks.

Other than that I love it.

Decibel responds:

Thank You for the review and vote.

I will add melodies, I found it very repetetive as well and I;m working on some a lot but I just can't seem to find a good one :P

Plain? I don't get it, Except for the last part with only bass and percussion to outtro but other than dat i dunno.

Thanks, Im Glad,

8-bit + pad ?

I like it. Pretty good for an 8-bit song. My only suggestions are 1) Maybe work on your levels a little. Usually a good ratio is 60/40. so for this I would turn the audio down a tad then turn the lyrics up a tad. 2) The bass line needs a little more of a mixing. It almost seems like the bass line had a pad mixed in it. To me it just didnt fit. Sure the pad is very faint and almost didn't hear it but at some points you can hear it. Other than that good job.

8/10
4/5

Calamaistr responds:

Your ears are good, it actually does have a echo editted pad mixed into it, but on very small ticks to prevent sequence.

I kindof liked it myself, gives it a bit more body.

I plan on making some more like this when im done with my current album anyway.

Thanks for the review. :)

Different

Could've easily been better. Use a clubby kick instead of a hardstyle kick. It would be less over taking.

shadowac responds:

yeah i know... i might remake it some other time
